Mission Statement

Our passion is teaching and learning. We develop professional competence, provide opportunity for personal growth, and foster interpersonal effectiveness. Students succeed because our university community engages and supports them.

Argosy University is a leading institution of higher learning founded upon the principle that relationship building is at the heart of both educational and professional success. Our academic programs focus on the interpersonal skills vital to professional achievement, while our faculty and staff nurture students’ confidence — as well as competence — to thrive in their chosen fields. A private institution of higher education, dedicated to providing professional educational programs at the doctoral, masters, and bachelor’s degree levels in the areas of business, education, and psychology. The school delivers its programs in either an on-ground format, on-line format, or a blended format for the working adults who are looking to further their education.

Degrees:

Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with various concentrations, Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with various concentrations, Master of Business Administration (MBA), Master in Science Management (MSM), Master of Arts in Community Counseling (prepares student for licensing as Licensed Professional Counselor, LPC), Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy (prepares students for licensing as MAMFT) Master of Arts in Industrial Organizational Psychology (MAIO), Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology, Master of Arts in Education in Educational and Instructional Leadership. Doctor of Business Administration (DBA), Doctor of Education in Organizational Leadership, Doctor of Education in Counseling Psychology, (prepares students for licensing as Psychologist), Doctor of Education in Counselor, Education & Supervision, Doctor of Education in Educational and Instructional Leadership, Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).

Certificate Programs:

Various certificates are available within the Master of Business Administration. Certificates usually require four courses and these credits may be applied to a master’s degree should you wish to continue your education.

Schedule:

Courses taken within degree and certificate programs are offered in five weeks (counseling), and seven weeks (all other degrees) formats. Courses usually meet one evening per week or on a weekend format, and the hours of the class vary according to format. Many students find that they can reach their goals faster by taking more than one course per session. Some courses, certificates and degrees, are offered online. Most courses are offered in a multi-method format using a combination of both online and on site instruction.

Admission:

The Bachelor’s degree program allows for transfer of credits and must be evaluated by the chair of the program. Master’s degree programs require a bachelor’s degree and an undergraduate gpa of 3.0 but waivers for 2.7 or greater can be granted on a case by case basis. Doctoral Degrees require a 3.0 gpa in their Master’s Degree but waivers for 2.7 or greater can be granted on case by case basis. Certificate programs generally do not require an undergraduate degree, although courses are taught at the graduate level. Transfer credits will be considered on a case by case basis for individuals having a “C” or better in undergraduate courses and a “B” or better in graduate courses.

Tuition:

For current on campus and online tuition rates, please refer to our Web site, www.argosy.edu.

Schedule

Check CSU’s website for term state and end dates; most online and on-campus courses in the Continuing Education for-credit programs match the term dates of the CSU campus. Each Continuing Education course will specify its delivery method: online, audio conference, video streaming, DVD and VCD, videotape, correspondence, CD-ROM, on-campus, or a combination.

Admission

Undergraduate: Apply for admission to Undergraduate Degree Completion Programs at www.admission.colostate.edu. Applicants must have a minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA; priority consideration is given to transfer applicants who have earned a minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA in 24 or more college-level, academic semester credits. The number of credits that can be transferred differs by program; check with advisers for more information.

Graduate: Apply for admission to Graduate Programs at http://graduateschool.colostate.edu/ . Applicants must have a minimum undergraduate 3.0 cumulative GPA in order to be considered for admission. Track II admission, which does not require the GRE, is available for some programs for individuals who have at least five years of appropriate professional experience and a baccalaureate degree. Specific requirements – including undergraduate GPA, specific GRE minimum scores, and GRE advances tests – vary by degree, so be sure to check with the adviser in the specific department well in advance of the application deadline for more information.

Students can take courses before being officially admitted to a degree program (check with an adviser to see how many credits can be taken before admission and still be applied to the degree completion requirements).

Continuing Education uses RamCT as its online learning platform to conduct all online credit courses. It provides user-friendly access to course materials, discussion groups, assignments, exams, chat, and other learner services.
